COMPONENT ASSEMBLY & TEST MACHINE
We engineered and built a fully automated Assembly and Test Machine that integrates robotics, advanced vision, leak testing, and precision part handling, all while achieving a sub 8 second cycle time. This turnkey solution eliminated manual operations, reduced defects, and met the customer’s demanding cycle time of under 8 seconds per part. With built in flexibility, precision labeling, and automated material handling, the machine delivered a significant boost in efficiency, consistency, and process traceability.

IAI Gantry Robot for accurate pick-and-place
Epson SCARA Robot for fast part loading
Keyence Vision & Inspection Sensors for real-time part verification
Keyence GT Probes for precision dimensional measurement
Leak Test System to confirm part integrity and sealing
Custom-Built Label Dispenser with ±0.010" accuracy
HyperCyl Air-over-Oil Press for reliable part stacking and pressing
Automated Material Handling including dunnage stacking and part flow
UL 508A-rated Control Panels and remote diagnostic capability
Full data logging and barcode-based part tracking
LEAK TESTER
Shamrock engineered a custom Automated Leak Testing Machine designed to test two-part halves simultaneously. The system was built with precision and flexibility in mind, incorporating over 40 sealing surfaces, utilizing both standard and custom seals ensuring integrity in every test. This solution significantly improved throughput and eliminated variability in the customer’s leak testing process. It also laid the foundation for long-term process monitoring and easier troubleshooting through built-in connectivity and traceability tools.

Sr. Controls Engineer
Josh is a seasoned Senior Controls Engineer with a decade of experience at Shamrock Engineering. Known for his deep expertise in automation and electrical systems, Josh holds a UL 508A MTR certification and is a self-proclaimed AutoCAD Electrical expert. In addition to designing and programming sophisticated control systems, he occasionally steps into the shop to build panels himself, bringing a practical, hands-on approach to his work. Outside of the office, Josh enjoys working out and spending quality time with his kids.

Sr. Mechanical Engineer
With over 24 years at Shamrock Engineering, Ron brings unmatched experience and passion to every project. A true hands-on engineer, Ron not only designs custom machines but also enjoys machining the components and assembling the systems himself ensuring quality and functionality from concept to completion. His entire career has been devoted to this craft, making him an invaluable asset to the team. Outside of work, Ron enjoys riding motorcycles, restoring Airstream trailers, and playing the trumpet.

With 13 years at Shamrock Engineering and a full career spent in the automation industry, Bryan is a highly skilled and detail oriented Machine Builder. He combines his expertise as a manual machinist with a strong background in electrical systems, holding a UL 508A MTR certification. Bryan plays a key role in bringing Shamrock’s custom machines to life, ensuring precision and reliability at every step of the build process. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting and supporting his daughters in their many sports activities.
